Hi everyone! Today I’m going to tell you about a roulette game – the waiting strategy. What is this, and what does it do? We are talking about all systems based on waiting for some combination of numbers, colors, odds, and so on to fall out.

What is the “Waiting” roulette strategy good for?

The principle of any expectation strategy is that the player expects a combination to fall out frequently and bets on the hot numbers, that is, those that have not fallen out for a long time. Thus, the expectation remains the same, but the variance is stretched. For such strategies are used roulette features idle spins or roulette with a typical table, which is very rare. All such games are conventionally divided into several phases:

Phase 1 – Observation.
The player observes the game and fixes all draws. If the expected combination falls out, then the second phase follows.

Many players are waiting for a multiple hit, for example, seven times black, followed by a bet on red. And they do it because, in their opinion, the probability of winning increases.

Let’s consider this particular variant together with you. There are specific formulas for calculating the probability of numbers, according to Martingale:

As you may have already noticed, the basis of the calculation is European roulette with one zero.
Looking at this table, you can easily find the odds of falling out from 1 to 16 equal chances. Let’s imagine that you decided to build your game this way: you wait for one of the colors, for example, black, to fall out seven times in a row, and then make only one bet on red. Then you proceed to phase 2 and wait very diligently for a repetition of 7 times.

The question is, how often will these combinations come out?
The answer is in Table 1: 155,06. And to make ten bets, you need to play 10 * 155.06 = 1550.6 spins. If you commit about one spin in 3 seconds, then 1550.6 spins, you need to play about 77.5 minutes. Whether or not it’s worth playing this way is up to you.
